Goldman Resignation Letter, Taiwanese Animator Style

March 15, 2012

 Goldman Resignation Letter, Animated report

Goldman Sachs's Greg Smith resigned from the company Monday in the most public manner possible: by posting his resignation letter from Goldman Sachs in the New York Times. The letter has given rise to a new round of criticism against the banking industry, and has also prompted Goldman and others to rise to the defense of the firm and the sector at large. However, nobody has managed to cover the story in quite so unique a way as Next Media Animation, a Taiwanese company that computer-animates news stories. Check out NMA's version of the Goldman resignation letter brouhaha.

Included in NMA's animated report on Greg Smith's Goldman resignation letter: Matt Taibbi's "vampire squids" brought to life (pictured); Goldman clients being animated like puppets (fact check, NMA: "Muppets," which are actually reference in the Goldman resignation letter, are not animated with strings, but with hands inside the puppets and rods); and what is likely a dig at the recent Trump brothers hunting scandal.

Enjoy the video animated version of the Goldman resignation letter below!
