Patient Flow Coordinator – Emergency Department
Full-time, Night Shift
Lawrenceville, GA

This position’s focus will be on patient flow throughout the Lawrenceville Emergency Departments’. Under the direction of the ED Manager, the Patient Flow Coordinator is the ultimate decision maker regarding patient flow and patient placement, movement, and discharge for the Adult and Children Emergency Departments. The Patient Flow Coordinator is responsible for interacting with other disciplines, physicians, and departments to resolve problems and barriers to improve patient flow. The Patient Flow Coordinator works in conjunction with the Clinical Supervisor and directs the duties of the discharge nurse and flow specialty technician.

The qualified candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Current Georgia RN licensure and current BLS, PALS and ACLS required. CCRN and TNCC preferred. Minimum of three years of current ER experience preferred. Charge or management experience required. Strong clinical skills and broad knowledge of emergency nursing are needed.

With 60+ beds and 100,000 visits per year, Gwinnett Medical Center Lawrenceville’s Emergency Department is one of the busiest in the area. Our hospital is home to a Level II Trauma Center with 4 trauma rooms and 13 Children’s Emergency Rooms with three board certified Trauma Surgeons on staff and are proud to be an accredited Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center.
