The Director, Human Resources is the primary Human Resources Business Partner for the US Sales & Worldwide Field Services and Worldwide Marketing functions and works with Human Resources (HR) leadership on implementation of global succession planning, career management, performance management and recruitment; ensuring that the business unit reward structures reward and recognize high performance, innovation and creativity; and ensuring implementation of key processes and capabilities to support business unit learning and growth agenda.

The Director, Human Resources develops and implements HR strategy in support of short-term and long-term business goals; Partners with specialist groups to ensure coordination of HR strategies and processes across the organization; Manages the implementation of organizations and cultures that drive innovation and employee engagement; Partners with business leaders to grow diverse leadership, talent and technical capability in the business; Implements and may develop structures and strategies to improve individual and organizational performance; Implements and may develop effective strategies to enable the organization to thrive through periods of change (e.g. acquisition, internal growth, restructurings); Provides group and one-on-one coaching with Managers and employees to support leadership development, business decision-making, human resources management, and problem solving and performance management; Supports the implementation of appropriate HR solutions aligned with business direction; Implements global/standardized HR processes at the local level; Plays a consultative role in employee communication initiatives within customer groups; Acts as coach and source of advice on performance and employee relations related issues; Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level; Responsible for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition; Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures. Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related area of focus is required; Master degree (e.g., MBA, MA HR) strongly preferred. A minimum 7 years of total business experience with 5 years of applicable HR Business Partner experience OR minimum 5 years total business experience to include participation in a HR Leadership Development Program is required. Demonstrated experience leading project teams required. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and influencing skills required. Sense of urgency and ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-energy environment required. Ability to develop and maintain strong, effective internal customer/business partner relationships required. Must possess strategic thinking, big picture orientation, intellectual curiosity, prudent risk taking, organization & talent development, collaboration & teaming and self-awareness and adaptability competencies. Must demonstrate strong business acumen and business partnering. Ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and work well in a team-based environment is required. Change management and ability to shape the environment is required. Strong knowledge of leading talent management philosophies and strategies as well as strategy development is required. Strong managerial and leadership coaching skills are required. Team and organizational dynamics assessment and development experience is required. Approximately 30 - 40% domestic travel is required. Must be willing and able to travel and/or work weekends as required.

Experience in a large, global organization is strongly preferred. HR Business Partner experience in the healthcare, medical device and/or regulated industry is strongly preferred. Experience supporting commercial organizations (e.g. Sales, Marketing) is strongly preferred.
