A FINANCIAL CONSULTANT position supporting the IT Service Catalog and Activity Based Costing for IT Chargeback is available in Englewood, CO.

This position supports KP Information Technology in developing cost models for IT service regional chargebacks for core operations and investment projects. The ABC IT Chargeback process includes identifying and evaluating cost drivers that align IT resources to its respective service and performing pro-forma analysis on identified enhancements. The Financial Consultant is responsible for managing regional chargeback methodologies and ensuring all changes receive appropriate approvals before implementation. Responsibilities also include supporting monthly ABC customer statement reporting, budget and forecast analysis, and ad hoc reporting and analysis of IT services. Strong cost accounting knowledge is essential. Prior experience with allocation software desired.

Essential Functions:
Learn the current Activity Based Costing methods implemented in KPIT Finance.
Participate in developing new costing models based upon IT Service Catalogs to enhance transparency for IT customers.
Research IT processes, services, and cost drivers.
Develop, build, and analyze financial cost models; present results of analysis to financial leaders including senior management.
Participate in the development and maintenance of performance metrics, measurements, methods, and targets; assist in identifying performance improvement opportunities.
Provide ongoing support on the use and interpretation of analyses, reports, methodologies, systems and source data, acting as a significant information resource.
Partner with Finance counterparts in all organizations to improve financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Lead cross-functional teams to solve issues.
Participate in the planning and development of post-allocated budgets and forecasts.
Provide ad-hoc analytical support and report generation.
Use various tools and information sources (Business Objects, Cognos, and other) to produce financial reports for multiple management levels.
Conduct user acceptance testing for new ABC functions.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business is required, or 4 years of additional work related experience.
A minimum of 8 years of financial planning and analysis experience in progressively responsible financial roles.
Experience with Activity Based Costing and/or Cost Accounting.
Strong analytical skills and computer skills. Must have strong proficiency with MS Office especially Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong presentation and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Information Technology services and processes.
Advanced cost modeling experience.
Service Catalog implementation experience.
Experience in a complex large sized business.
Experience working in a process driven organization.
Customer focus with outstanding personal skills and able to interact with a range of personalities and styles.
Knowledge of Kaiser Permanente's systems and financial tools is highly desired.
Proven initiative and self-directed style.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong analytical and proactive problem solving skills.
Working knowledge of Business Objects or comparable OLAP applications.
Ability to work under demanding and tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy as both originator and reviewer.
