Position Description Summary :

Assumes lead role in privacy to be the privacy compliance Officer of the J&J companies in France for the French data protection Authority (CNIL) and to ensure that J&J France complies with all applicable EU and French data protection laws, regulations as well as J&J privacy policies.

Keys responsibilities

Leads and manages cross-functional privacy compliance activities for all the operating companies of J&J in France and ensure companies data-handling practices comply with collection, use and disclosure of legal requirements and rights of data subjects in all functional areas.

Provides and develops guidance, defines and reviews local privacy policies and procedures for J&J in France in cooperation with the EMEA privacy compliance organization.

Monitors privacy compliance by advising the J&J France Boards and senior management, conducting regular audits to assess compliance programs effectiveness, putting corrective plans in place and providing training and appropriate tools for the employees of the different companies in coordination with the EMEA privacy compliance organization.

Acts as the main contact for the business process owners within the companies, the employees whose personal data are collected, and for the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) and the EMEA privacy compliance organization.

Creates and maintains an inventory of electronic and manual systems that collect personal data from employees, customers, third parties, job applicants and others, drafts the annual report for the French Data Protection Authority.

Makes required notification and filings to the French Data Protection Authority.

Qualifications


Job requirement /profile
- Legal education: Master 2 in business, IP/IT law including French and European legislation and regulations relating to data protection
- Professional experience: minimum of 5 years in data protection / privacy compliance activities involving French data privacy laws and regulations spent in a law firm or in an organization if possible in an anglo saxon/international environment
- Native speaker level French (C2) advanced speaker level English (B2 or C1)
- Excellent knowledge of information systems, data base management, social media, cloud computing, mobile devices
- Profound communication skills
- Sense of responsability and high level of autonomy
- Written skills and sense of synthesis
- Used to work with cross functional teams
- Project management skills
