We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager.

Reporting to DePuy Orthopaedic Manager of Strategic Sourcing the Sourcing Manager for CMW will support the procurement group to engage in contemporary best practices, sourcing processes and delivery of results to meet & exceed the DePuy Franchise Sourcing OGSM's. They will execute DePuy's Orthopedic strategy and provide overall coordination, facilitation and enablement of programs that will drive best practice and that will leverage across DePuy CMW & MD&D.

They will be a member on the DePuy Sourcing team and will be expected to provide a practical and intellectual understanding of the global DePuy & MD&D industry as well as hands-on leadership in all aspects of Sourcing operations, having overall responsibility for Qualitry, Service and Cost.

The Sourcing Manager for CMW will be responsible for all raw material and finished goods procurement activities for the CMW facility. They will assist in locating and selecting suppliers per business requirements & category strategies. In addition, they will administer contracts for strategic suppliers, develop strategic suppliers, develop and improve large spend category strategies and major business processes such as business continuity and supplier selection to deliver annual improvements in Quality, Service & Cost. This needs to be achieved by working with the extended procurement team, aligning the procurement processes with the wider Depuy Procurement organization, the Make and Quality organizations and be responsible for delivering the procurement metric's for CMW.

Responsibilites:

Supplier management for the CMW Supply base. Focus on risk, quality, service & cost

Communicate, monitor, and aggressively manage compliance with the sourcing strategy or business process

Partner with the Category and ASL functions to ensure alignment to meet and exceed goals

Establish close working relationships with other functions, (e.g. Engineering, Operations, Marketing and Quality) to ensure full understanding and support of strategic sourcing perspective to key processes and address technical needs

Establish proactive issue communication to the Make function, manage supplier partnerships & contribute positively to the efficiency of Supply Chain

Ensure alignment to the strategic direction provided by the Source Leadership Team

Track and manage performance of suppliers and ensure that performance issues are quickly addressed

Partner with Supplier Quality to ensure alignment on supplier management processes

Champion annual productivity improvements by leading internal & joint supplier teams pursuing cost reduction opportunities in alignment with sourcing strategy (e.g. lowering inventory levels, increasing yields, operation improvement)

Upgrade supplier skills (ship-to-stock, emerging technologies, etc.)

Assist in managing supplier capabilities including but not limited to capacity planning, tooling and resource investments including inventory management

Develop an expertise in the business needs and capabilities for major spend categories or key business processes. Keep up with supply market trends, supplier economics, and best practice sourcing

Analyze overall system capabilities in support of the supply chain

Ensure training on and compliance with relevant company procedures

Lead the day-to-day personnel activities of the department

Coaches and develops staff in achievement of objectives

Developing & implementing Logistics processes and parameters to manage spend within budget and or organisational goals

Site lead for purchasing processes during internal/external audits

BCP lead for Procurement at site

Represent purchasing at site leadership meetings/initiatives

Departmental router for ECO process

Minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant experience in a logistics/supply chain role within a high volume manufacturing environment

Minimum of 3 - 5 years procurement/sourcing experience preferred

Proven ability to influence/collaborate required

Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills required

Experience in Operations, Logistics, Planning, and Forecasting

Analytical-absorb information & solve complex problems quickly

Management & leadership of a diverse workforce

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
