Medical Devices & Diagnostics Global Services, LLC., is recruiting for a Senior Immunologist to support the Ortho Clinical Diagnostics franchise, in our Red Cells Processing and Production Department located in Raritan, NJ.

The Senior Immunologist is responsible for in process testing in the manufacturing of donor screening products. The Senior Immunologist will perform operations as described by SOP's under GMP's. This individual will be responsible for, but not limited to the following: working closely with other manufacturing support areas to coordinate activities; maintaining equipment in proper working order; maintain individual training records; following BTR's to perform ELISA plate runs, ELISA testing according to GMP's, SOP's, TM's safety rules and production schedule; performing in process testing as per appropriate test methods; maintaining accurate, complete and timely written batch records and documentation; performing batch record review of completed documents; maintaining equipment calibration and maintenance; maintaining a clean orderly work environment; communicating problems to supervisor; disposing of hazardous materials appropriately; assisting in maintaining supplies needed for production area. This position is a 1st shift position but all manufacturing plants require ability to work varying shifts and overtime hours as needed.
Qualifications
The qualified individual will have a minimum of a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with 4 years of experience within the Pharmaceutical and/or Medical Device industry with formulation and testing using miltchannel pipettes, filling and labeling OR a Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline with a minimum of 2 years of related experience with formulation and testing using multichannel pipettes, filling, and labeling. A minimum of 2 years experience within a GMP environment is required. The ability to work varying shifts and overtime hours is required. Experience with the Microsoft Office suite is desired, specifically: experience with Outlook, PowerPoint, and advanced knowledge of Excel is highly desired. This job also requires good mathematical skills and working knowledge of metric system. ELISA experience is highly desired. Experience with conjugate formulation and testing donor screened products is highly desired.
This position requires the candidate to be detail oriented and perform tasks in a timely manner. The ability to exhibit good interpersonal skills, decision making skills and communication skills is required. Demonstrated experience within a Lab environment and experience using theories, techniques, processes, procedures, equipment and materials is preferred. This position may require the use of PPE (personal protective equipment) and the ability to lift and push for the conjugates. This position requires occasional work in a +5 C cold box and occasional work in a -20 C walk in freezer; the occasional use of large tanks and volumes, with mixing devices requiring moderate physical strength. This position is located in Raritan, NJ.
