The 'project' for which this position has responsibility is a broad scope of work: to organize, streamline and communicate, in coordination with departmental leadership and strategic objectives, the high-level methods by which the Clarity Operations group receives and deploys requests. Inherent to this role is the optimization perspective to improve the operational models for both core and investment work.
Essential Functions:
Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- Total Managed Project Budget up to $15 million.
- Project Complexity can be multiple sites and up to 20 integrated work sites.
- Demonstrates knowledge, experience and use of change management process and impact on business.
- Responsible for accurate time reporting for a project.
- Provides consulting for business partners for business case development.
- Directs the quality/testing strategies for the project. Evaluates best practice recommendations and trade-off scenarios to enhance the Project Quality Plan.
- Determines program resource requirements and procures resources.
- Assigns work, sets priorities, and provides guidance in the completion of tasks and review of program deliverables.
- Proactively communicates with enterprise-wide projects to plan and manage project interdependencies.
- Responsible for applying the risk management process.
- Determines the impact of current/existing technologies on the project.
- Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity, which require a high degree of ingenuity and innovation, using independent judgment to accomplish objectives.
- Designs communication plan frameworks to be used by project managers within context of overall program/project being managed.
- May manage 4 - 7 project managers.
- Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. May supervise the activities of others.
- Provides managerial responsibility for two or more teams or departments, which may be managed by employees with formal supervisory responsibilities.
- Provides on-going coaching, enabling team members to develop and improve skills and capabilities that support the effectiveness of the department/function.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or 4 years of equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 8 years of Project Management experience.
- Demonstrates understanding of, and knowledge in IT methods and project management, and applies this in all stages of project.
- Advanced knowledge (broad expertise or unique knowledge) of policies, practices and systems for Epic/Claritysystems.
- Viewed as functional expert in Clarity usage within KP.
- Sustains strong ongoing relationships with client middle and senior management during projects.
- Having broad expertise or unique project management knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
- Ability to influence others and build strong partnership with others.
- Team and Service oriented.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking.
- Ability to deal with people dynamic with minimal guidance.
- Ability to resolve conflict with minimal guidance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare industry knowledge.
- Information technology experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute preferred. Identifies individuals who can competently practice as a project manager leading and directing project tasks.
