Responsible for overseeing the administration of all MillerCoors sponsored health and welfare plans, including working with outside vendors, assisting employees with issues and claims appeals, assisting locations in resolving administrative issues and providing support to the Health Benefit Manager during open enrollment.
Areas of Responsibility:
1. Responsible for day to day administration of the companyâs health and welfare benefit plans:
- Act as a liaison between outside administrators (Fidelity, insurance carriers and voluntary benefit providers) and customers (HR, payroll, employees and retirees) to ensure timely resolution of eligibility and claim disputes as well as effective administration of company plans
- Makes recommendations on plan administrative improvements
- Manage Medicare Part D Reimbursement process
- Manage any required government filings, notifications and internal eligibility audits
- Act as secretary for Benefit Plan Administration and Compliance Subcommittee
- Ensure that all third parties (including Fidelity and every medical, dental, vision and voluntary benefit administrator) are programmed correctly for the following year changes
- Produce accurate online and written communications
- Update on-going communications with annual enrollment changes
- Reviews and updates administrative manuals and plan documents for accuracy
- Support Health Benefits Manager in analyzing and making plan design recommendations based on data analysis, government regulations and industry trends
- Develops cost analysis as requested
- Develops communication material for Labor Relations
- Supports Health Benefits Manager in making company proposal during collective bargaining
- Reviews/maintains SPDs for accuracy after contract finalized
Education Level and/or Experience:
- BS Degree preferred or equivalent experience (3-5 years of health benefit administrative experience)
- Working knowledge of Employee Retirement Income Security Act and related legislation as it pertains to health and welfare benefits
- Ability to communicate (orally & written) with employees and internal partners
- Ability to clearly communicate and foster strong partner relationships with insurance carriers and third party administrators
- Strong writing skills for communications to employees
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and reasoning/problem solving skills
- Working knowledge of ERISA as it pertains to health benefits
- Intermediate Power Point, Excel and Word proficiency
- Ability to interpret health care plan documents and translate this into administrative practices and processes
- Ability to understand processes of third-party vendors and internal service providers in order to insure proper daily administration of health and welfare plans
