As a Global Talent Management (GTM) Intern, you will have the opportunity to work in one of our specialty areas (e.g., leadership development, assessment, succession planning, etc.) providing consulting and design support to the J&J businesses on an enterprise, global and/or regional level and accountable to the J&J businesses in diagnosing needs and providing Human Resource solutions.
Internships will provide potential experiences across the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies Sectors, including the Medical Devices and Diagnostics, Pharmaceutical, Consumer, Corporate and Supply Chain.
A GTM Intern will be responsible for completing project(s) that deal with strategic business directions. These project(s) will provide exposure to top management and multiple functional areas. Assignments can include projects in areas such as talent management, leadership development, assessment, total rewards, recruiting & staffing, change management, organizational development or design, and various other areas requiring human resources expertise. Interns will be expected to demonstrate in-depth understanding of the critical issues, decision-making, and project management skills. The ability to work independently is required. Strong problem solving, organizational, communication and analytical skills are essential.
Upon completion of the GTM Internship (and degree requirements), interns may be considered for full-time positions in our Human Resources Function. Decisions will be made based on internship performance and business need.
Location of Human Resources Positions:
Positions are available at Johnson & Johnson's Corporate Headquarters in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a doctoral program in Industrial Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, or other HR-related Discipline; candidate can have coursework requirements complete by June 2013, but still must have student status as they complete their dissertation
Exceptional communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a changing and complex environment
Demonstrated leadership ability, business acumen, and strong analytic problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to set priorities and manage a variety of tasks
Minimum of 3+ years of business experience preferred with HR experience strongly desired
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future
