JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Clinical Strategic Solution Department is responsible for technology innovation and optimization to support the clinical portfolio area in the Mid-Atlantic States. This position would develop complex infrastructure solutions designs in the Mid-Atlantic for all projects to ensure project success. The Lead Solution Consultant is responsible all aspects of project and innovation design to include hardware, network, data security, standards and be able to think outside the box. This position will be heavily engaged in biomedical integration, network configuration/planning, imaging and implementation of large complex projects.
Essential Functions:
- Will lead all efforts to develop a Mobile Strategy for the Mid Atlantic States Region
- Will take the lead in planning, developing and delivering mobile capabilities/application needs for the Mid- Atlantic States Region
- Will partner with the Mobile Center of Excellence and colleagues across 8 Regions to design, build, test, deploy and establish standards for Kaiser Permanente's mobile applications
- Consult effectively with business partners to define requirements and develop solution alternatives and estimates.
- Translate business requirements into specific systems, applications or process design.
- Conduct design review sessions with various IT, vendor and business teams.
- Work closely with business partners, business consultants, project managers, vendors and IT teams that will be involved in the project.
- Responsible for the delivery of project requirements and physical design documents.
- Accountable for the content, correctness, completeness and accuracy of the deliverables within any project phase.
Qualifications:
- Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems OR extensive work experience in stated areas.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in infrastructure engineering to include hardware, network connectivity and application installation/packaging.
- 5 years of consulting and development expertise across multiple mobile application platforms. This includes planning, developing and delivering mobile capabilities/application needs for internal and/or external clients
- 2 years of experience in implementing and/or managing a private/enterprise app store or managing the development and deployment of apps to public stores such as the iTunes App Store or Android Market (Google Play).
- Strong knowledge of Java
- 2 years experience designing web service API intended for mobile apps
- Able to create physical designs that depict end state design from meetings with vendors, other KP-IT departments and project requirements
- Must have a broad range of IT experience to be effective with demonstrated ability to think creatively outside the box
- Ability utilize 'Big Data' sources and it's application to solve business problems
- Experience with projects that span hundreds of end users and multiple locations
- Knowledge of mobile computing, social networking and its application to the health care industry
- Able to relate project work/problems to the correct IT group
- Able to work with data integration Solution Consultant experts to ensure seamless design
- Experience with different end user devices/applications such as iPads, iPhones, compact notebooks etc.
