Provide overall guidance and structure for creating, maintaining, and utilizing the non-SAP application and development landscape. Lead the development of enterprise architecture deliverables and roadmaps to define and implement target non-SAP architectures. Work with other architecture functions to plan, implement, and support the non-SAP landscape including environment management, software upgrades, application development frameworks, infrastructure management, and capacity planning. Provide consulting to solution development teams to ensure that solutions are developed in alignment with overall application architecture principles and capabilities.
Area of Responsibility:
1. Application and Integration Environment Planning and Management-
*Develop target architectures and roadmaps for the non-SAP landscape in collaboration with other architecture functions..
*Define and implement non-SAP and legacy environment management strategies to support development and deployment of solutions.
* Implement and manage non-SAP application development environments, standards, and guidelines.
* Lead the planning and execution of lifecycle management for the non-SAP software landscape.
* Partner with infrastructure architecture resources to develop capacity plans for the non-SAP application environment, implement supporting infrastructure, and proactively monitor utilization.
*Establish guidelines and standards around custom development, package and SaaS implementations and extensions, and application integration including associated design, development and programming standards.
*Participate in establishing the technical strategy and standards for integration of SAP application functionality and workflows to non-SAP applications;
* Establish strategy and standards for use of application integration platforms and technologies including functional testing tools and processes.
* Support the application portfolio management process, and lead efforts to plan and govern the technical aspects of the application portfolio.
* Maintain currency on functional and technical elements of related landscapes.
2. Solution Design and Development-
* Establish and develop solution architecture governance team(s) and processes to guide and sanction critical architectural decisions
* Act as a mentor on non-SAP application technologies and lead the overall quality assurance efforts on implementation projects to ensure adherence to configuration, extension, customization and integration standards;
* Support development and compliance with application architecture standards, policies and procedures
* Guide and mentor solution architects in the consistent use of non-SAP application architectures
Work with development and support teams to ensure the ongoing performance and scalability of applications.
Education Level and/or Experience:
* Bachelorâ s Degree
*Minimum 7 years application development experience
* Extensive experience with systems architectural concepts and frameworks
* Data warehousing/information management experience preferred
* Experience with designing and/or developing solutions in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
*Strong proficiency in legacy application technologies, integration frameworks, and custom application development architectures and methods
* Experience with server software including IIS, MS SharePoint, WebMethods, Biztalk, Active Directory, and Search engines
*Experience in both legacy application integration techniques as well as the use of XI/PI and WebMethods as an enterprise integration platform
* Experience with testing tools and methodologies
Skills and/or Knowledge:
*Strong understanding of application landscapes and underlying architectural components
*Ability to mentor and influence people at multiple levels within the organization
*High degree of general and beverage business acumen
*Capable of translating and presenting technical concepts into practical business terms for leaders both small and large group settings
*Strong knowledge of all facets of systems development and operations scenarios
*Excellent analytical skills.
