The role of the Director Procurement - Packaging Materials is to develop long and short term strategies, develop supplier relationships, and negotiate favorable contracts for approximately $2 billion dollar spend.  

Incumbent is responsible for leading a team of professionals that manage a significant portion of the company’s overall spend, and identify opportunities to enhance value and reduce costs.    This role plays a vital role in providing procurement related solutions to cross functional teams and delivering on the company’s innovation and new product development efforts.
 

Education level and/or experience


  • Minimum of a Bachelors’ degree in business, supply chain, engineering, finance or operations; MBA preferred
  • CPM/CPSM Preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years of procurement experience in a consumer products organization with at least $1B spend.
Skills and/or knowledge


  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of procurement, commercial finance, materials management
  • A thorough understanding of budget requirements and constraints and a proven record in successful negotiation
  • Strong strategic planning and visioning
  • Strong management skills with demonstrated ability to plan and execute critical initiatives
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to manage at all levels
Other requirements


  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to interface with cross functional leaders from all areas including Finance, Engineering, Breweries, and Marketing
  • Proven success reducing costs without compromising quality
