Coventry Health Care of Virginia is seeking an experienced provider contracting professional to join our team as Vice President, Network Management. CHC of Virginia supports fully insured, ASO and Medicaid members throughout Virginia. Our provider network supports these members and groups. You will lead a team of provider contracting, provider relations and provider operations staff who support the development and growth of our provider network throughout Virginia.
As the leader of our Virginia based team you will establish provider contracts and reimbursement mechanisms, set negotiation strategies, participate in contract negotiations, and determine integrated delivery system contracting practices and procedures. Additionally the successful incumbent will Develop and consider new and creative contract terms, including fixed pricing arrangements, exclusive arrangements, joint ventures, and acquisitions. The Vice President will also implement defined strategies and activities related to the plan's physician, hospital and ancillary services relations, and direct provider recruitment, orientation and training, and provider relations.
Qualifications:The successful incumbent for this position will hold the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Significant experience (usually 7+ years) managed care experience, 4-6 years strategic operational experience in network development.
- Substantive knowledge of managed care policy and direction.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
