LifeScan is a division of Cilag GmbH International; both companies belong to Johnson & Johnson family of companies. LifeScan is engaged in the manufacturing, global distribution and marketing of blood glucose monitoring systems for diabetic patients with markets spanning across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Canada, USA, Asia Pacific and Latin America to create a world without limits for people with diabetes. In order to meet market needs, LifeScan has centralized its logistics structures, distribution and finance processes.

Aim of position:
The Pricing and Tender Strategy Manager enables pricing decisions by defining EMEA strategic priorities derived from LifeScan EMEA and Global strategies . This proactive pricing strategy should take into account a comprehensive view of LifeScan products portfolio.

Partner with Marketing and Health Economics and Reimbursement to develop Value Based Pricing strategies that captures customer value and drives business growth and profitability. Develop when needed trainings to enhance the organization Pricing and Tender capabilities.

Develop influencing relationships with stake holders across the business (AGMs, EMEA Marketing; Business Unit Directors and Pricing leads) to ensure agreed price targets are consistent with the EMEA and Global objectives, and are delivered.

Lead and develop the local pricing managers as a matrix manager to ensure the delivery of the analysis and resultant pricing actions into the market.
Develop a database and quarterly report for all key internal stakeholders.

Lead EMEA Pricing Governance and monthly reviews with key internal stakeholders within the Clusters to review pricing performance and generate action plans.
Manage EMEA pricing data (ASP and pricing). Coordinate and provide insights to CBT.

Leads EMEA Tender Governance and develops an optimal platform for Tender data management. Develops CORE Tender tools and tender pre-management processes.

He or she develops a clear understanding how competitors' pricing strategies and actions impact the LifeScan's business and pricing strategy. The director of P&T deploys strategic responses to the most important trends in the market, identifying the relevant stakeholders to involve in protecting current competitive positioning.

He or she has a thorough understanding of the market sensitivity to prices for different SMBG products and is actively engaged in collaborations with stakeholders in foreseeing future scenarios, e.g "horizon planning".

Major Accountabilities:
• Responsible for the development of Pricing & Reimbursement strategies: Accountable for achieving best launch and in-market prices according to the market situation, aligned with EMEA ELT decisions and global strategies; Tender Price decisions; provide accurate qualitative and quantitative input into Budget and Strategic Planning. Contribute with an understanding of the impact on business strategy caused by competitors' actions.

• Responsible for the Health Policy Operations / Reimbursement: Ensure timely reimbursement in national drug lists; ensure relevant evaluations according to target positioning and reimbursement, aligned with country and brand strategy. Influence global and local development program re. understanding of competitive environment and requirements from country and local HA's in order to support market access.

• Contribute with customer and competitive insights in strategy development: Participate in the development of Business Strategies that will capture the key environmental changes, competitors' actions and customer insights on pricing and tenders

Qualifikationen

Skills and Abilities:

• Educated to Bachelors degree level within a Marketing, Business or Finance or related field.
• 3-5 years Pricing related experience required, preferably within Marketing, Commercial
or Finance.
• Experience building strong relationships and work closely with cross-functional teams.
• Experience and/or ability to work and navigate in a global and matrix environment.
• Experience with basic finance reports such as P&L statements.
• Substantial work experience mostly gained in a pricing analyst/manager role, having run strategic and tactical pricing programmes.
• Proven track record in influencing Commercial teams to deliver growth through price and profitability management
• Strong analytical and data management skills
