Description

Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) will be responsible for maximizing company product value through high scientific quality communication with Leading Specialists on a peer-to-peer basis. Through activities in line with the Medical Affairs Plan, the MSL is jointly responsible for the realization of short-term and long-term company goals. MSLs are expected to be a therapeutic area scientific expert, responsible for discussing our products, patients' treatment trends and studies in the therapeutic areas in which we are involved, on a peer-to-peer basis with defined audience of Leading Specialists (Physicians, Pharmacists, Hospital Managers, Board Members of Scientific Societies, and other stakeholders) and to be considered a trusted scientific counterpart.

This position reports to the Medical Affairs Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Establish and maintain professional relationship with healthcare providers, including clinical trial investigators, physicians, pharmacists, nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Serve as an educational resource to healthcare providers about Janssen's products (current and in development)
- Communicate scientific information in a variety of settings, including but not limited to internal meetings, clinical investigator meetings, advisory boards and individual discussions
- Establish relationships with opinion leaders to expand research, advisory and other collaborative opportunities
- Serve as a liaison for healthcare providers who express interest in conducting investigator-initiated research, to facilitate review and consideration of research proposals
- Represent and support our products at medical conferences
- Respond to unsolicited requests for information on clinical data
- Keep abreast of changes in treatment trends that could impact our products
- Serve as a disease-state resource and communicate information obtained from appropriate field interactions to internal staff
- Participate in training and planning meetings within the company
- Work closely with sales & marketing and from a medical perspective; provide input into marketing strategies and the development of promotional materials

Qualifications


REQUIRED

- Medical or science background (pharmacy, life-science/biotechnology)
- Medical Doctor or PhD qualifications, with specialization are preferred
- At least 2 years corporate working experience within the medical, research or pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Demonstrate strong planning, organizational and decision making skills
- Good team-player with strong interdependent collaboration partnership
- Meticulous, strong analytical and scientific skills
- Results oriented with high sense of urgency
- High integrity, ethical & professional
- Independent, self-driven and change agent
- Coaching and mentoring where applicable

LOCATION

This position will be based in Singapore. No relocation provided.
