The Supply Planning SME is responsible for building the capabilities and enablers to support our strategic plans in the Supply Planning area. Your vast knowledge of the best practices in the marketplace and hands-on experience in implementing these practices in earlier assignments enable you to set the direction in terms of processes and systems.

You translate this direction in projects that are socialized with and supported by the main stakeholders (plants, affiliates, regional planning organization,…) and you define the projects to realize the objectives. You will lead the delivery of the projects and take full accountability for the results.

As Supply Planning SME you drive the Supply and Co-pack planning Communities of Practice to capture the Voice of the Customer and ensure a two-way communication with the internal customers. You own the Supply Plan area and are perceived as such.

Responsibilities:

• Build the roadmaps for Supply Planning and socialize these with the stakeholders
• Define and maintain the Process & Systems flows for SNP and PPDS
• Benchmark with internal & external Supply Chains
• Drive the Supply planning systems, processes and organization evolution (APO SNP, PPDS, SNC, SmartOps and elements of FTS touching plan) in close collaboration with the business and IT counterparts
• Participate as functional expertise in cross functional projects
• Drive efficiency and Effectiveness
• Lead the Communities of practice as the content owner
• Capture the Voice of the Customer through the Communities of Practice
• Initiate, prepare, define and design improvements with the business partners, Lead the delivery of the supply planning projects in collaboration with the IT and project management teams
• Provide technical support when questions are escalated by expert users
• Support UAT in Supply Planning projects
• Support the BPG in documenting WI / SOP / Process Mapping for Integrated Planning.
• Drive operational reporting technical Specs for BW/Bex in collaboration with the Performance Management team
• Develop training and support the training specialist in building capabilities in the Supply Planning area
• Participate in and possibly drive the cross-region and cross-sector initiatives in the Supply Planning area and align these with our strategic roadmaps. Ensure implementation in Consumer EMEA

Accountability:

• Supply Planning systems and processes evolution (SNP, PPDS, SNC,…) embedded in a roadmap that supports the strategic direction.
• Accountability for delivery of the roadmaps for Supply Planning
• Capabilities developed that are needed to support the Strategic Roadmap
• Process & Systems flows for SNP and PPDS
• Functional expertise in cross-functional projects
• Communities of practice enabling the right communication between internal customers and project management, thus ensuring the right initiatives are prioritized and the day-to-day business is supported
• Well-working user support structure for the Supply Planning area, using the expert user network
• Documented and SOX compliant WI/SOP/ Process Mapping for the Supply Planning area
• Consumer EMEA represented globally and cross-sector, and initiatives supported on that level and cascaded back

Qualifications


Masters Level or equivalent with a preference for an Industrial Engineering degree
At least 5 years of relevant experience in a supply chain environment in a FMCG company or pharmaceutical company
Experience in diverse industries is a big plus.

Functional expert with in-depth knowledge of the Supply Planning area, the processes, systems and organizational structures

Experience in the creation, design and implementation of processes, organizations and systems in the Supply Planning area with a clear preference for SAP/R3 and APO and BW tools

Experience of managing cross-functional teams in a project mode

Experience in SDLC and compliance requirements

Fluent in English (written & oral) is essential

Required competence and skills:

Knowledge leader with end-to-end understanding of the supply planning processes, enabling clear recommendations for sustainable solutions

Business oriented person continuously striving for supply chain excellence, efficiency and effectiveness. Continuous improvement thinking in the long and medium-term goals but also in the day-to-day operational planning

Demonstrated ability to implement the designed solutions, embed these in the organization and deliver the expected benefits

Change manager with a demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries through influencing, negotiating and partnering.
