As a co-op in the GPLS department at Ethicon Endo-Surgery, you will have the opportunity to use state of the art tools and take advantage of training courses offered on-site. You will work with the team members of Global Package Labeling Solutions. Our group is responsible for providing package labeling, including instructions for use required for each product. Our group is also responsible for managing the translation process for the package labeling. You will work with several team members on various projects related to process improvement. Co-op positions are generally 3 to 6 months in duration. We offer a competitive wage and subsidized, furnished housing for non-local students. This is an Equal Employment Opportunity.

Your direct responsibilities will include developing labeling text and layout for packaging components, including instructions for use; working with GPLS team members to develop and manage schedule for projects; working with GPLS team members to identify and implement labeling solutions across EES franchises; working with GPLS team members to identify and develop process improvements.

Qualifications


To be qualified for this position you must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a BA, BS, or MA degree in Technical Writing, Information Design, Marketing, Communication, Regulatory, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or related discipline. You must be at Sophomore level or above. It's also important to have demonstrated leadership/participation in campus programs and/or community service activities. The ideal candidate must posses organization and conceptual thinking with the ability to be self-directed and work with minimal supervision but also function as a contributing member of a team. Strong written and oral communication with a solid command of the English language and grammar is necessary. Experience with project management and the ability to manage a multitude of projects with aggressive project deadlines and to adapt to changing priorities is necessary. Knowledge of domestic and international legal and regulatory requirements and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is desirable.
