Essential Functions:
- Assist in managing the line of business for multiple regions; propose actions that will aid in meeting membership and margin goals. Includes interfacing with sales, sales operations, marketing, product development and market strategy amongst others
- Accountable for the development of project documentation for senior executives (regional and national) and other key clients to facilitate sharing of project outcomes and best practices
- Ensure that the strategic direction of projects is in line with organizational business plan
- Partner with regional leads to accomplish mutual goals including implementation of tactics
- Lead solution development of complex problems with diverse scope where analysis of data requires in-depth evaluation of various factors
- Establish effective professional business relationship with all levels of management Develop communication plans that identify background, key issues, approaches, performance metrics and resources required.
- Design an analysis plans to address key business issues
- Make formal presentations to various senior level audiences
- Ensure various project teams provide high quality and cost effective project management, analytical support service and technical expertise
- Design processes to address identified problems
- Establish team membership and negotiate time commitments and resource allocation
- Facilitate team meetings.
- May manage a committee to achieve specific goals of a highly visible, complex and multi- faceted project
- Projects assigned are broad in scope and may involve multiple functional areas and/or span across services areas
- 25% travel to out of state regional offices
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related experience OR master's degree and 2-4 years of experience
- Thorough knowledge of membership, rates, financial, economic and competitive data
- Highly skilled in MS Excel, Access and other databases.
- Must know how to manipulate databases such as MS Excel and/or Access, as well as manipulating reports and generating
- Regularly contributes to the development of new market strategy concepts, techniques, and standards.
- Considered functional expert in market strategy within Kaiser Permanente
- Frequently contributes to the development of new theories and methods
- Employs expertise as a generalist or specialist
Preferred:
- At least8 years of related experience.
- BA/BS or Master's degree preferred (Business, Public Health, etc.)
- Project management experience within health care
- Proven ability to determine key business issues and develop effective action plans from multi-disciplinary perspectives
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret quantitative and qualitative analyses
- Excellent leadership, project management and consulting skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
