Essential Functions:
- Provides in-depth consulting to management and staff at the highest level in the identification and resolution of major problems.
- Demonstrates leadership in time critical or complex technical problem resolution.
- Identifies user and system requirements, designs systems, and provides technical direction.
- Knowledgeable on Systems Development Lifecycle and programming standards.systems analysis techniques
- Keeps abreast of hardware and software developments including theory and technique and uses this knowledge to initiate enhancements within the organization.
- Participates in the evaluation of new products or modifications that will enhance operations and development activities.
- Supervises and develops product evaluations and testing plans.
- Generates business cases for the deployment of technical solutions including cost/benefit analysis.
- Performs second and third level problem determination and resolution.
- Evaluates and selects tools to facilitate problem resolution.
- Develops troubleshooting policies, methodologies, and standards.
-Works with clients and vendors, if necessary, to achieve timely solutions.
- Provides guidance to lower level resources.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years experience in systems analysis, systems development and implementation and system support
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer science or related discipline, or 4 years of additional related work experience
- Previous experience supervising and developing product evaluations and testing plans
- Extensive troubleshooting experience
- Previous experience writing business cases, including cost/benefit analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of staff, including vendors
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree.
