Description

The job holder will be primarily responsible to design, analyze and implement BI solutions for the business as well as to ensure their maintenance and support through IT shared services. This role has a focus on both the business and technical aspects of solution management and the successful candidate will work in collaboration with the business team and/or Business Relationship Management colleagues.

He/she will understand and have experience of Commercial processes and the key aspects of business analytics and datawarehouse technologies. In addition he/she will lead design sessions by presenting logical statements of business problems and designs, and offering and incorporating ideas. The job holder needs to demonstrate a good capability to balance the often competing needs for innovation and standardization/process harmonization, frequently influencing business partners to align with best practices. He/she will understand architectural issues and be able to factor them into decisions and recommendations.

The job holder needs to demonstrate understanding of the software development life cycle, working closely with delivery teams to ensure the business requirements are met to budgets and timelines. The successful candidate will work with multi-national Business Partners and in a remote/virtual team, other team members may be on different sites/countries in the region. The role is based out of China with good bi-lingual communication skills (English and Chinese); there is likely to be requirement for 15-20% travel.

Qualifications


The Person
- Typically candidates will possess 6+ years of relevant experience and BS Degree (or equivalent) OR 4+ years with advanced degree (or equivalent).
- Experience of Medical Devices and Diagnostics preferred, but not essential.
- Bilingual skilss - Excellent English and Chinese skills (oral and written)
- Demonstrated capability in building successful business relationships and working at a strategic level.
- Has proven ability to learn and apply new and emerging concepts very quickly.
- Effective communicator at all levels with strong influencing skills - a good networker.
- Possess good analytical skills. Accustomed to analysing vendor proposals and evaluates build versus buy
- An understanding of the processes and procedures in Portfolio Management and Clarity would be an advantage.
- Good project managment and planning skills; someone who is systematic and detail conscious.
- Ablilty to work on own initiative in a virtual team with experience of leading a project team.
