Vistakon is currently recruiting for a Senior Quality Assurance Statistician to be based in Jacksonville, FL.

Reporting into the Manager, Quality Analytics and SPC, the Senior Quality Assurance Statistician will conduct analyses on global customer complaint, nonconformance, product quality attribute and other quality-related data. They will collaborate with business partners to monitor safety/quality signals and conducting analyses for trend detection, as well as collaborate with business partners on design of experiments and statistical analyses for root cause investigations. The individual will perform predictive analytics to assess impact of data trends. This role will keep abreast of current trends in literature and research pertaining to data analysis and work to continuously improve reporting and analyses to meet changing needs of business. The Statistician will collaborate with multiple functions and lines of business within Vision Care and J&J.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating reports and validating/verifying report content and layout, reviewing and/or providing input on sampling plans for quality protocols, ensuring that new and revised statistical standards, tests, and processes are implemented for increased accuracy and efficiency, and resolving complex questions on statistical issues from the business partners.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a Statistics, Mathematics, or closely related discipline is required, with an advanced degree being preferred. A minimum of 4 years of analytical experience with a Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 2 years of analytical experience with an Advanced degree is required. Prior experience within a Healthcare environment is preferred. An excellent knowledge of common statistical techniques is required. Expertise in statistical data analysis software (e.g. SAS) is required. Previous experience of working in a post market surveillance environment is highly preferred. Medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred. Experience in Clinical study/research is desired. Advanced statistical knowledge (e.g. multivariate data analysis, generalized linear mixed models, sample size simulations) is desirable. This person must have strong problem solving skills and the ability to work on small to large projects in a team environment. This person must be an effective communicator and be able to work in a collaborative environment. This position may require up to 20% travel.
