The Director of OTC/Nutritional Global Franchise Engineering will be the one point of accountability regarding all technical packaging needs. This position is part of the global franchise engineering (GFE) group within Global Engineering. The objective of this position is to assist our Business Leaders in the creation and co-development of innovation strategies, platforms and OGSMs which are tied to Global Consumer, Customer & Franchise strategies. This role leads a team of Engineers and is also responsible for bringing and executing new strategic technologies/solutions. This role will help to evaluate the range of the opportunities for the proposed Technology/Solution/Idea, and this team will execute the projects as per the plans and commitments. The Director provides ongoing leadership to ensure full alignment on scope or assumption changes that may effect the project charter during project execution phases.

The Director of Franchise Engineering will manage engineers within the global franchise engineering organization in charge of creating technical feasibilities and assist on business case development and support from a packaging perspective. This individual will prepare and participate in OTC and Nutritionals Global Franchise Organization GIPC. This individual will possess deep understanding of industry trends & best practices, developing & executing strategies across multiple technologies from innovation, commercialization, business continuity and value savings. The Director will lead the ideation, technical feasibility and cost estimates of new process/packaging innovation and communicate/prioritize these ideas to/with the business. This individual will also help to evaluate the range of opportunity for the proposed Technology/Solution/Idea.

Qualifications


A Bachelor of Science degree plus a minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience is required. A focused degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Packaging Engineering, Marketing or Finance, or another closely related discipline is preferred. Previous Packaging experience is required. This individual must have the ability to manage and influence all levels of the organization. Knowledge of compliance and experience working in a highly regulated environment is required. A Green Belt or Black Belt training/certification is desired. Strong project management skills are required.

This individual must have the demonstrated ability to create and translate organization strategies and connect the dots. This individual must have the ability to lead and transform the organization from an highly execution focused to an innovation engine. The ability to shape the culture and evolve a passive mindset to a proactive/forward way of thinking is required. This individual must have a track record of leading and developing people. Experience working with ambiguity and leading in a matrixed environment is required.

This position will be based in Skillman, NJ or Ft. Washington, PA and may require up to 10% domestic travel.
