Position Summary
A successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of planning, implementation, design, and delivery of Cyber Security protection for the business Information System and the SWPF nuclear waste treatment facility information systems at Aiken SC. This responsibility is inclusive of advising and consulting with DOE client as well as leveraging dedicated onsite and leveraged offsite subject matter experts. Must have the ability to clearly communicate (written and verbal) technical concepts to technical and non-technical Senior level management and subject matter experts.
This role involves daily interaction with the SWPF Information System Owner (Parsons Vice President), SWPF IS Manager and IS staff, SWPF design managers and engineers, and Operations managers. Coordination with the SWPF Security Manager is required to ensure a comprehensive set of practices to ensure that all client information and sensitive Parsons information is maintained in accordance with FISMA 2002 and DOE directives.
Job duties will include:

Establishing policies and procedures in support of the Information Systems Security program

Implementing a comprehensive vulnerability assessment system

Performing periodic reviews of the activities of the project teams to ensure compliance with policies and standards

Providing information security consulting services to the project to ensure compliance with regulatory and client-specific requirements

Interaction and coordination of traffic analysis and boundary system configuration changes
-
Project management of new and expansion vulnerability assessment tools/DOE directives, including the development of initiative business plans and associated implementation schedules/budgets/forecasts

Direct project liaision to IS management (local and enterprise), Project Management and DOE Client
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Minimum
Experience:
7-10 years of relevant Federal experience required or equivalent as determined by the Selecting Official
Required Skills:
-
Excellent customer service and communicaton skills that spans executive level to end computer users

Ability to handle multiple conflicting priorities, balanced with strong attention to detail and overall flexibility
-
Knowledge of standard information security frameworks, including NIST or ISO-27000 series
-
Experience with Intrusion Prevention Systems, vulnerability assessment tools, and event log management tools

Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Active or ability to obtain DOE L clearance or higher preferred (or comperable DOD clearance)
Desired Skills:

Knowledge/experience working with FISMA 2002 Cyber Security requirements

Knowledge of the infrastructure and applications used in a Process Control System

Knowledge of computer forensics

Knowledge of standard networking protocols and services

Knowledge of Web application security
Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
- CISSP required
