The Administrative Supervisor integrates, coordinates and oversees the activities of hospital personnel on Evenings, Nights, Weekends and Holidays. Acts in an Administrative capacity to all departments in the absence of the Department Heads and The Presidents Council. Routinely consults with staff in all areas regarding patient status, employee and physician needs. Responds to all “ICOE” (In Case Of Emergency) situations. Responsible for coordinating adequate staffing coverage to provide optimal cost effective patient care and demonstrates understanding of patients across the life span.
This is a per diem/PRN role working mainly evenings and nights.
QUALIFICATIONS:
For this supervisory positions, we are seeking:
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with current licensure in the State of Wisconsin.
Bachelors degree in Nursing and graduate education preferred.
Five (5) years varied clinical experience, as an RN, in an acute setting in the immediate past.
Certification in BLS and ACLS. PALS optional.
“Leadership 2000” inservice education offerings should be completed within two (2) years.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and clinical skills. Ability to prioritize multiple demands. Excellent attendance record. Ability to respond to emergency situations and access stored information in a timely manner. Requires extensive walking throughout the hospital. Must use proper body mechanics with full range of motion when needed to lift, bend, push and pull. Must be able to walk up and down stairs well. Flexibility in scheduling hours to meet the twenty-four hour needs of the Patient Care Services Division.
