Wellness & Prevention, Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is recruiting for a Data Integration Engineer. This position is located in Ann Arbor, MI.

Wellness & Prevention (W&P) is the global leader in online delivery of behavior change interventions. Our behavioral support programs create unique health improvement plans for each individual. This plan and the subsequent continued care plans teach the participant how to achieve his or her individual goals.

W&P programs cover a wide range of health issues. Examples include: Health and Wellness - weight management, smoking cessation, stress management, Disease Management - Diabetes, Pain Management, Medication Adherence, and Behavioral Health - Insomnia, Depression.

The Data Integration Engineer will build and support the ETL processes for the data warehouse, data marts, customer extracts and customer imports. The Data Integration Engineer will work across the company supporting our client solutions and working directly with other Data Integration Engineers, DBAs, Cognos report writers, Software Engineers, QA, Customer Account Specialists, Strategic Account Managers, Project Managers and Product Managers.

Specific responsibilities will include the following; Responsible for designing, developing, automating, monitoring and maintaining ETL processes that transfers data to and from internal and external locations. Interact with product owner(s) and Technical Leads to estimate development efforts and ensure accurate requirements fulfillment. Develop and document technical requirements and solutions. Engaged in project planning and delivering to commitments. Participate in daily stand-up meetings, planning meetings and review sessions (using Scrum / Agile methodology). Participate in design and code reviews. Interact with cross-functional teams to ensure complete delivery of solutions. Troubleshoot issues making recommendations and delivering on those recommendations. Ensure data security approaches satisfy internal compliance policies and are HIPAA compliant.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, IT, business administration, or another rigorous discipline is required. A minimum of 3 years of experience working with a data warehouse responsible for ETL processing is required. Proficiency with SQL, and ETL tools and techniques are required; Oracle 10g/11g is preferred. Demonstrated working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and related data integration tools such as Secure FTP servers is required. Understanding of data warehouse approaches, industry standards and industry best practices is required. Experience with full Software Development Lifecycle methodologies including Agile is preferred. Experience with Pentaho Data Integration and/or Informatica is preferred. Expert SQL and database tuning skills for multiple platforms are preferred.

Must be a highly motivated team player who is a quick learner and someone who can work independently or on a team driving solutions with minimal supervision. A flexible team player capable of juggling multiple priorities and willing to do what it takes to meet critical deadlines is required. An effective communicator who is able to work with executives, engineers, managers, QA testers, internal customers and external partners is required. Strong written communication skills including but not limited to requirements and design documentation are required.
