Animas Corporation develops and manufactures glucose management systems that help people living with diabetes better manage their disease and live a life without multiple daily insulin injections. The Inside Sales Representative works to drive insulin pump sales while focusing on the customer, including people with diabetes, family members, and health care professionals. They probe to understand customers' underlying needs or issues and address with the appropriate products & services. Their responsibilities include: Using sales mastery in a concise, professional, ethical and persuasive manner that leads the customer to action; Meeting and exceeding monthly sales revenue quotas; providing outstanding customer service; Active, consistent communication with the Field Sales Force, Placing sales calls to out-of-warranty pump customers and inactive customer pipeline to ensure customer retention; Proactively contact Leads and Inquiries, responds to customer inquiries and performs a variety of duties relating to the insulin pump sales process; Convert competitor pump users to Animas products; Seeking and maintaining referral sources (i.e. Primary Care Physicians) by providing product information/marketing tools in a timely manner. Responsible for generating new business from remote geographic areas; Continuously work the pipeline of potential pump customers to meet or exceed department key performance indicators; Manage incoming queue calls; Ongoing commitment to grow selling skills and product knowledge; Work with insurance carriers to process pumps through their pipeline; Work successfully in a fast paced team environment; Adhere to all company and corporate policies and procedures.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is preferred along with previous sales experience and a documented track record of sales results. The qualified applicant is preferred to have medical device sales experience paired with documented sales results. Experience working with insurance and/or processing is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must. A strong candidate will demonstrate the ability to work with teams and individuals. The candidate will collaborate well across functions and groups as well as champion best practices. The ideal candidate will take action and makes decisions that successfully build customer value, demonstrate a clear bias for action on priorities, use best practices and systems to improve business operations, demonstrate understanding of the contribution of each functional area to the overall business success (e.g. Field Sales Force, Marketing, Technical Support and Clinical), and work effectively with people that have diverse styles, talents, and ideas. The individual will maintain the highest standards of ethical behavior; takes steps to avoid the appearance of personal gains, treat people with respect and dignity, demonstrate awareness of how his/her actions or interactions impact others, have accurate attention to detail, and is proficient in Microsoft Office business applications. The ability to work flexible hours required. The candidate should understand that due to the sales nature of the position, paid time off is limited during certain periods of the year. All shifts are based on business necessity and may be changed with advanced notification by management. The candidate should be prepared to perform all other duties as assigned. Business travel is required up to 10% domestically.
