The Program Manager is responsible for designing and leading programs associated with strategic business issues and opportunities; managing aspects of one or more programs within the Kaiser Permanent organization. The primary responsibilities of this position include the following:
Responsibilities:
- Lead small to mid-size work streams of a large program
- Break down the program elements into manageable and achievable tasks/activities and create a logical plan (e.g. work plan, storyboard) for an activity or program segment
- Anticipate program scope changes and adjust program plan and budget accordingly
- Identify, address and keep program leads abreast of potential scope or quality issues
- Understand the program's strategic goals and how these goals fit with Kaiser's overall success
- Structure and execute basic financial, economic and market analysis
- Identify limitations of approach for analyzing or addressing a problem/situation
- Document and understand process flow for existing and 'to be' processes
- Develop client and internal presentations while working with the client to clarify needs
- Prioritize program work to meet member/customer needs
- Contribute to staff orientation programs providing new recruits with relevant information and informal induction training
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Three years of program management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in health care, business administration, or related field required
- KP's Advanced Qualification Designation for Level I
- Requires full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility and working knowledge of another function
