The Senior Manager, Programming - SAS Project Lead will be responsible for the planning and execution of statistical programming activities (development, quality control and documentation) in support of analysis and reporting of clinical trials data (Phases I- IV). Additionally, this role will provide support and technical expertise to the department in relevant technical areas (e.g. SDTM, ADaM, Imaging, etc.) and cross-functional initiatives.

Specific responsibilities of the Senior Manager include: plan programming deliverables across multiple projects and at department level, develop SAS programs in support of complex clinical trial reporting and submission activities, work with others to establish project requirements, develop detailed programming strategy, provide project specific guidance to team members, drive programming activities to ensure quality and on-time deliverables, lead departmental projects, leverage experience, and develop and implement solutions with minimal guidance.

The Sr. Manager, Programming will be expected to manage ambiguity and provide innovative solutions to resolving complex problems, ensure that a sound, consistent methodology is applied across projects, provide technical input to department level and cross functional process initiatives, and serve as a departmental resource in areas of technical expertise.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in computer science, mathematics or other scientific field (or equivalent theoretical/technical depth) is required for this position. A minimum of 8 years experience programming and analyzing scientific data is required, with a minimum of 5 years of statistical programming in a pharmaceutical/clinical trial environment also required. This position requires expertise in SAS. Incumbents must possess knowledge of local and global regulatory submission processes and industry guidance. Experience successfully leading teams and managing projects in a cross functional team environment is also essential for success in this role. The roles will be based in Spring House, PA and Raritan, NJ.
