Role Summary
Central point for the preparation of JJVC Canada financials and functional department financial information. Primary resource for providing financial support and information to cross functional business partners (Marketing, Sales, Retail, etc)
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Senior Financial Analyst, as required.
Perform the Month End activities per below:
Prepare and enter JE's.
Prepare and enter the JDE to SAP financial payroll and payables data feed.
Prepare JJVC Canada's P&L; where necessary liaise with Retail for gross to net variance explanations, Marketing for BME variance explanations and cross functional budget owners for SG&A variance explanations.
Prepare and analyze activity in the Balance Sheet Accounts. Ensure adherence to S-Ox controls.
Prepare and enter Bravo submissions - Actual and Forecast.
Prepare quarterly reviews with the cross functional budget owners to discuss actual results and variance to forecast.
Prepare and complete month end templates (for J&J U.S., or other) as required.
Support the business planning and quarterly forecasting activities for JJVC Canada per below:
Prepare and enter the sales forecast; including liaising with Sales (for ECP sales and promotions), Marketing (for new products launch) and Strategic Accounts (for Retail and GPO sales and promotions).
Prepare the coop spending forecast; including liaising with Sales, Marketing and Retail.
Prepare the Gross to Net spending forecast, including liaising with Sales (ECP incentives), Marketing (promotions) and Strategic Accounts (GPO discounts and incentives).
Prepare the budget forecast; including partnering with cross functional budget owners.
Prepare and complete forecast templates (for J&J U.S., or other) as required.
Prepare financial analysis for new product launches and other brand initiatives, as appropriate, including specific Return on Investment (ROI) and other financial hurdle criteria, as appropriate (pre and post launch).
Support all legal reporting submissions - Actuals and Forecast.
Participate in SOX Activities as required.
Participate in JJVC Canada Finance requirements for local and global projects and initiatives.
Prepare process documentation (job aids) for Finance and update as appropriate.
Partner with JJMP, JJI, JOI, J&J Corporate, J&J Belgium and J&J U.S. to ensure all intercompany accounting and cross charges are accurate.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance /Accounting or related discipline is mandatory.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar capacity is required
CMA, CGA, or CA - currently completing or completed designation is required.
Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills including advanced Excel (pivot tables, v-look-up), SAP experience an asset.
Able to learn new computer applications quickly.
Effective planning and organizing skills, analytical, problem solving and communication skills plus demonstrates drive and a willingness to take ownership for tasks and responsibilities.
Dynamic team player and able to effectively partner with all different levels of management with ability to take on leadership role in situations.
Resourceful and independent.
Detail oriented and ensures work is complete and accurate.
Ability to present complex information and analysis in a clear and concise manner.
Able to work effectively as part of a team.
