Acclarent, Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst, Operations located in Menlo Park, CA.

Acclarent, Inc. is a medical device company in Menlo Park, CA that was established in June of 2004. The company is dedicated to the development of innovative devices providing new technologies to further meet the needs of ENT patients.

Acclarent's initial focus is on achieving the goals of sinus surgery with novel, endoscopic, catheter-based tools - Balloon Sinuplasty™ devices. Through the Balloon Sinuplasty™ technology and our Relieva® product portfolio we offer ENT patients another option to conventional endoscopic surgical technologies. FDA clearances for these devices were completed in 2005 and the products were commercially launched in the US that same year.

Through our core technologies and commitment to innovation, Acclarent will continue to advance novel devices in all areas of ENT.

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide support to the Operations, Quality Operations and Facilities departments. There will be support across all functions within Operations including Procurement, Make, Distribution, Quality etc. This position will be responsible for managing the quarterly / semi-annual Plan and Update forecast process, analytical support, ad hoc analysis, month end close, monthly BVA analysis and ensuring that all SOX controls related to the Inventory and Fixed Asset cycles are being met. This position will have a Financial Analyst reporting to it.

Detailed Duties & Responsibilities:

The Senior Financial Analyst will coach and develop a Financial Analyst including building development plans, monitoring progress against those development plans and providing on-going and consistent feedback; Review monthly reconciliations of ENTC inventory to Acclarent's ERP System prepared by Financial Analyst; Capital Reporting and other Ad Hoc Analyses for internal and corporate; Support Operations on a day to day basis; Responsible for preparing monthly inventory reconciliations and investigating any significant variances; Review of various month end activities including, but not limited to SLOB, Full Absorption, GP Elimination; Review and provide reports for various CNIS accounts; Run Month End BVA for select OPS and Facilities department; Responsible for preparing various schedules for Audits; Budget activities including, but not limited to working with Ops Mgmt to set Overhead spend budgets, Facilities Allocation (space analysis), gross margin planning; Maintaining and adjusting the gross margin planning model based on business needs; Document processes and ensure that all SOX controls are being followed and documented and other Ad Hoc support.

Qualifications


A minimum of a bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is required. A CPA and/or advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of five (5) years of Accounting/Finance experience is required with at least 1-2 years cost accounting experience preferred. A combination of experience in a Healthcare/Medical Device Manufacturing Company and Public Accounting experience is preferred. Experience with inventory accounting and standard cost systems preferred. QAD experience a plus, but not required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and strong Microsoft Excel skills are required. Analytical ability to research, identify and resolve issues and strong oral and written communication skills are required. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
