DIME analysts maintain the Kaiser Permanente Northwest Region's data marts and production reports. The Report Analyst II position plays a critical role the process, offering exposure to a variety of healthcare operational areas through the production reporting cycle. You will maintain the production reports required to run the day to day operations of the Kaiser Permanente Northwest Region. This involves creating monthly reports, investigating and resolve issues, and creating ad hoc reports for project work. Provides multi-faceted reporting support by coordinating and programming reports based on business need. Analyze need, develop or streamline user requirements and automate reporting and dissemination to ensure efficient, provision of timely and accurate management information.
Essential Functions:
- Support business units by working to define, understand and document report requirements.Seek to understand and propose simple reports that seek to provide information needed by business units.
- Responsible for the assessing new simple reporting needs to ensure non-redundant, reliable, accurate, and accurate information is provided.
- Production support for routine reports.
- Manage routine report maintenance and updating of programs used to produce reports in support of activities impacting key initiatives.
- Gather supplementary data from various sources; create report tables, charts, and graphs.
- Create thorough and consistent documentation for the programs used to create routine reports and the databases/data attributes used in routine reporting.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests for data from business units or leadership.
- Using basic SQL, design, develop and execute processes to run regularly scheduled reporting.
- Conduct and continuously improve reporting to ensure reliability, validity and integrity of the data used in management reporting and analysis.
- Develops tracking tools to log errors, requests for modifications, reporting schedule and other related activities associated with regularly scheduled reporting.
- Ensure that copies of programming code are kept updated in shared directory.
- Business systems analyst duties, e.g., help define business rules applicable to the development and/or use of the application.
- Information analyst duties e.g. conduct analysis and make recommendations to business unit based on findings of analysis.
- Data analyst duties, e.g., help define business rules applicable to the development of the application.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of reporting or analytical experience.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Basic knowledge of SQL.
- Good problem-solving, communication and time management skills.
- Familiarity with healthcare/insurance business.
