This position is responsible for providing analytical insights and recommendations for sales strategies that will deliver the business plan and drive business growth for 1) the field organization and 2) each of the channel account managers (Government, Managed Care, Retail, Mail Order and Distribution).
This position will lead the organization in generating business insights at the national and industry level to drive business understanding and action. Specific areas of strategic focus will be Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care sales groups as well as analysis for the professional sales groups. This position is expected to lead special projects to answer key business questions working with outside consultants/vendors if needed. This person will also be responsible for strategic planning for the U.S. business on a yearly basis providing both high level viewpoints to senior management and detailed analysis to business partners. This person will provide analytical strength, strategic vision, and support as needed to a variety of key stakeholders to help answer drive the business. This is a very visible position and provides opportunity to work closely with executives at LifeScan.
Reporting to this position will be the Managers of Field reporting and Channel Business Development. This position will be accountable for the holistic view of all Sales analytics and will be responsible for monthly reports detailing the state of business.
This position is a key leadership management position, directly supporting the Director of US Sales Analytics, and Vice President of Sales in the development of strategic vision for LifeScan business based on SMGB category growth and market share dynamics.
Qualifications
A BS/BA degree is required. MBA/MS - with demonstrated leadership initiative is highly preferred. Must have at least 7 years of experience in a consulting, corporate strategy or analytics role. Demonstration of quantifiable business results from analysis-based activities required. Experience in leading direct and indirect teams in driving major business initiatives required. Experience in leading projects and understanding of the sales and marketing functions within medical device and/or pharmaceutical companies is preferred. Working knowledge and experience with Managed Care/Medicare/Medicaid payers and plans are preferred. Strong analytical and quantitative skills are required. Excellent communication and presentation skills (experience in Sr. level presentation) are required.
