Provide software support for automated manufacturing lines. Utilize APT and AB PLC software skills to debug line performance, uptime and cycle time issues. Complete assigned continuous improvement software projects working with mechanical and process engineers providing software support and solutions. Work with project and other software engineers on capital equipment projects including installation, debug and optimization efforts. Works closely with other engineering disciplines in the development and application of expert troubleshooting of equipment and processes. Executes solutions for software associated with continuous improvements of equipment and processes.

Adheres to environmental policy and procedures and supports department environmental objectives. Participates in software troubleshooting for equipment, systems, and processes to support production equipment. Develops and implements equipment and/or process software enhancements that will improve efficiency, product yield and safety. Supports the qualification of new equipment and performs debug and equipment validation tests for qualification. Provides training and support to Operations personnel. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications


This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree. Candidates with a Bachelor Science Electrical Engineer - BSEE are preferred. 2 years machine PLC software experience is required. Candidates that possess experience with Siemens APT and/or Allen Bradley PLC's in a production environment are preferred. Automation experience within a manufacturing environment is required (Programming, Debugging and Installation). Experience with Wonder Ware or HMI software interface is preferred. FDA experience is preferred. Project management experience is strongly preferred. This is a continuous operation night shift position and you will be required to work night shift for this role. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Excellent organizational skills required. This will be based in Jacksonville, FL and will require position may require up to 10% travel.
