Position Description: Responsible for the day-to-day administration of policies and programs covering several or all of the following: recruiting, compensation and benefits, training, employee and labor relations, safety and personnel research.


Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources or Labor Relations
  • A minimum of 2 (two) years experience at a generalist level
  • Additional Requirements: - Must possess excellent oral & written necommunication, organizational, training and negotiating skills
    -Must have the ability to effectively interact with employees from senior management to front line.
    -Proficiency with MS-Office needed

    Additional Responsibilities:
    -Responsible for managing the Safety & Compliance and Human Resources efforts for aprox. 70 employees in a distrubition enviroment
    -Experience in the Department of Defense and Aerospace industry preferred
    -Responsible for management and training of key proactive safety measurements
    -Management of Ryder's internal safety programs and metrics
    -Responsible for new employee training and material handling certification
    -Schedule and lead monthly safety committee meetings
    -Handles new hire on-boarding and employee profile retention
    -Processes weekly hourly payroll
    -Ensures compliance to corporate guidelines

    Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of functions for multi-functional teams
  • Performs as part of a high-performance HR work team
  • Interprets policies and makes recommendations on routine HR matters
  • Ensures compliance with all legal and corporate guidelines.
