Is responsible for financial performance including the budget for the business unit. Develops and executes business plan for unit. Assets include multiple lines or brewing functions.
Builds and develops a team of employees in the areas of technical and leadership development. Responsible for a team of direct reports based on unit or area configuration. Leads and promotes an inclusive and engaging environment.
Is responsible for adhering to all rules, regulations, policies, programs and related MillerCoors Quality Management System including SQF, HACCP and GMP to ensure safety and quality of MillerCoors products.
Education level and/or experience
- BS or BA in manufacturing/technical degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree in Business Management, Project Management or Engineering preferred.
- 6+ years prior experience in manufacturing operations management with demonstrated business improvements
Skills and/or knowledge
- Advanced familiarity with the various technical aspects of the assigned packaging or brewing operations and itsâ associated equipment.
- Sound knowledge of accepted brewing and food packaging process practices and procedures.
- Understanding and knowledge of maintenance concepts for installed equipment including asset care routines and practices.
- Understanding of statistical process control (SPC).
- Sound knowledge of financial practices including budget development and performance.
- Ability to analyze production reports and quality data to recognize adverse trends.
- General understanding of the practices associated with the development and administration of union contracts.
- Good communication/interpersonal skills and leadership qualities to directly manage personnel, while providing for their technical training and personal development.
- Demonstrated understanding of the concepts of MillerCoors Manufacturing Way.
- Must be able to establish and implement plans for changing workplace strategies adopted by the company in pursuit of itsâ business needs.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of OSHA regulations, EEO practices/policies, TTB regulations, plant safety regulations, FDA guidelines for food plant operations, and environmental regulations regarding manufacturing brewery operations.
- Ability to apply root-cause and problem solving skills at all levels.
- Ability to set priorities and provide appropriate structure to problems/issues.
