Acclarent is dedicated to the development of innovative devices providing new technologies to further meet the needs of ENT patients. Acclarent's initial focus is on achieving the goals of sinus surgery with novel, endoscopic, catheter-based tools - Balloon Sinuplasty™ devices. Through the Balloon Sinuplasty™ technology and our Relieva® product portfolio we offer ENT patients another option to conventional endoscopic surgical technologies.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Territory Manager to join our top performing sales team to cover East of England. This is an excellent opportunity for high potential and highly motivated individual who wishes to develop new skills and gain exceptional experience working within our top performing Sales Division and who have a passion for selling and building strong customer relationships. This position is a permanent post, Monday to Friday - 37 hours per week.
Brief description of the job responsibilities:
Customer relationships and people development are fundamental to our business, and therefore, will be a prime responsibility. In addition, you will be expected to treat your territory as if it is your own business maintaining key customers whilst developing strategies for new business. The key objectives of a Territory Manager are to achieve business goals in line with Credo values. The standards are to meet objectives as agreed with your Director International Business during the appraisal process.
Key areas of responsibility are as follows:
- Ability to function at a high level whilst working alone, as well as within a Team environment.
- Effective preparation and planning
- Accurate and urgent follow-up and pursuit of new business opportunities.
- Maintenance and development of product & service knowledge.
- Maintenance of appropriate level of Information Technology skills.
- Utilisation of the Company's adopted selling tools (Integrity Selling).
- Interdependent Partnering within franchise and across Johnson & Johnson.
- Maintenance of the customer database through effective reporting.
- Operation within agreed budgets.
- Knowledge of marketplace/commercial awareness.
- Knowledge of Procurement and Finance within the NHS.
Qualifications
Relevant experience or qualifications required:
The successful candidate will be confident, self-driven, highly competitive yet customer centric. A practical ability to demonstrate is required, as is suitability for spending a significant amount of your time in the operating theatre environment. Successful candidates will also have a strong affinity for working closely with others in a team and will show entrepreneurial behaviour. An ability to build strategic partnerships with key customers is essential and in addition, commercial awareness within this discipline and previous experience of working within a medical devices sales role is preferred along with previous experience of working within an operating theatre environment. A degree in business or science discipline is highly desirable. A capacity for sheer hard work, dedication and self-belief is essential. You must also demonstrate excellent PC skills and have an excellent working knowledge of MS Office packages. You will also hold a full clean driving licence. Full product and selling skills training will be given as well as ongoing continued support in the role.
