Johnson & Johnson's Global Finance Services (GFS) Team, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is implementing an exciting, transformational Global Finance Standardization (GFS) vision as an enterprise-wide priority, and is recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst, located in Skillman, NJ.
Finance at Johnson & Johnson is undergoing significant change, driven by Global Finance Standardization (GFS) and related initiatives throughout the business. The GFS Leadership team, in partnership with the Global Finance organization throughout the Enterprise, is responsible for driving the implementation of standardized financial processes, data, and enabling technologies, as well as the expert operation of a global network of Shared Service Centers and Centers of Excellence.

The GFS initiative, approved by the Executive Committee in June 2008, will establish or expand regional shared service centers around the globe to perform Finance work in the following areas: 1) Record-to-Report (R2R) encompassing financial accounting and reporting 2) Invoice-to-Cash (I2C) including credit, collection & related accounting 3) Treasury regional cash management 4) Procure-to-Pay (P2P), with rollouts in certain regions of the world where this has not yet occurred. When complete in the next 3-5 years, the GFS initiative will yield standard SAP-based systems and processes for global Finance, improve information transparency, and global cash management capability and returns as well as strengthen purchasing compliance and controls.
The Senior Analyst position is responsible for assisting and leading in a variety of financial accounting and analysis roles within GFS. Specific responsibilities may include department budget support, capital budgeting, financial consolidation, month/year end closing procedures, forecasting, review financial statement reports and account reconciliation. Other common tasks include: analysis of financial questions, trend analysis, problem solving, active business partnering and developing innovative methods to improve job metrics and processes. Additionally, ensure that SOX requirements are met and that all processes are appropriately documented and updated as needed. Build excellent working relationships with GFS regional and HQ personnel. Support ad-hoc projects as required. May be required to supervise and develop co-ops/interns.
Qualifications
A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required; Accounting or Finance degree preferred. A CPA, CMA, MBA or other financial certifications are preferred. A minimum of 3 years of finance or related business experience is required. Experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or consumer products industries as well as public accounting is preferred. Candidate must possess excellent analytical (MS Excel), conceptual, communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required. Individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The ability to effectively take on leadership roles in various functions is required.
