Planning Analyst - UK Supply Chain - Depuy-000009H1

Description

The UK Supply Planning team are a key part of the UK Supply Chain, responsible for the set up and procurement of DePuy finished goods from Inter-company suppliers so as to maintain on time sales order fulfilment for UK customers.

This role requires active involvement in hitting key commercial order line fill metric targets by engaging with and managing vendor performance and through appropriate ROP settings to minimise end customer back orders while supporting tough inventory optimisation targets.

The Planning team is also accountable for the appropriate set up of all finished goods, working closely with the S&OP and Sales & Marketing teams to ensure prompt NPI launches.

Circumstances (Situational Factors)
- Must be able to work flexibly as required to meet business needs and changes in circumstances
- To work within a small Planning team as an integral part of the larger UK Supply Chain department.
- Occasional overtime may be required during busy periods.

Satisfaction:
- Satisfaction of achieving highly visible and important KPI targets.
- Responsibility for delivering the appropriate level of factual and accurate analysis on line fill rates and back orders to a wide and varied audience.
- Responsibility for the timely placement of daily replenishment purchase orders, resolving customer escalations through expediting back orders and managing the purchase order book.
- Supporting the vendor management process through performance reviews.
- Supporting the on time delivery of key new business wins and product launches.
- Frequent interaction with high profile teams both in the UK and Internationally.
- Will gain invaluable knowledge and experience in all DePuy business franchises.

Dissatisfaction:
- Need to comply with a high level of bureaucracy.
- Requirement to work flexibly on a day to day basis.

Contacts and Involvement:
- Working closely with other members of the Logistics department, particularly the S&OP team.
- Report directly to and work closely with the Planning Specialist.
- Communicate and coordinate daily with UK Customer Services, Distribution and OrthoKit teams, including both managers and front line staff.
- Communicate and coordinate daily with the UK Sales and Marketing teams, including Account Managers, Field Sales Managers and Product Managers.
- Communicate and coordinate daily with International suppliers and their representatives in Belgium, Ireland, Switzerland and the US.
- Communicate and coordinate daily with Data Management teams in relation to item set ups.
