Position Description: Responsible for analysis and utilization of continuous improvement tools to design Supply Chain Solutions for current and future operations. Provides coaching/mentorship to other engineers. Provides regular and proactive communications to customers and Ryder Management.


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required in Engineering/Business/Supply Chain or a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of six years of related experience is required.
  • Additional Requirements: Position can be located in Novi or Dallas

  • MBA and/or Industrial Engineering Masters Degree preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects to achieve objectives and timelines required.
  • Experience in customer interaction and communication at all levels is required.
  • Anlytical and problem solving skills are a must.

    Demonstrated proficiency in:
  • MS Office - Strong Excel and Access Skills.
  • MS Project/Visio
  • JDA/i2 Transportation Modeler skills.
  • MS Visio
  • Visual Basic Preferred.
  • Responsibilities:

  • Collects data and performs statistical analysis
  • Maps and documents processes
  • Independently identifies process gaps; recommends and implements process improvement
  • Applies company methodologies and tools to design distribution and/or transportation operations
  • Establishes and implements performance measures
  • Conducts Inventory and/or Supply Chain analyses and recommends alternative strategies
  • Actively supports the sales process and creates high quality solutions and designs
  • Effectively interacts with customers, Sales, and Operations to create value propositions
  • Confers with the Engineering and Operations Managers to implement efficient and competitive solutions
  • Manages multiple projects of small and medium size
  • Leads, coaches, and mentors other engineers
