The Large/National Associate Account Manager position is responsible for management and execution of the business processes that are vital to achieving and maintaining optimal business position within the regions' largest employer groups in order to sustain and grow membership. Responsible for enhancing group customer loyalty and retention through the seamless implementation of group benefit plans. The Associate Account Manager is also accountable for creating sales opportunities through targeted external customer facing enrollment activities to increase membership and build support for KP.

Essential Functions
- Manage, track and coordinate the renewal process for large customers to ensure that all critical path milestones are met.
- Apply knowledge of Federal, State and Medicare regulations and mandates pertinent to Kaiser Permanente's delivery of medical care and health insurance contracts.
- Establish and maintain positive business relationships with key group contacts in order to support productive business strategies.
- Monitor all accounts across one or more books-of-business to identify any early indications of risks or opportunities.
- Validate the accuracy of sold/renewed group rates and benefits.
- Ensure appropriate and timely escalation and resolution of all customer concerns and inquiries.
- Establish and maintain internal communication links to ensure timely and accurate internal and external customer reporting.
- Utilize a high degree of personal autonomy and excellent judgment while analyzing and weighing complex and sometimes conflicting information and prioritizing against regulations, legal principles, regional goals, policy and working to maintain a positive customer relationship.
- Maintain a detailed and thorough knowledge of Kaiser Permanente's delivery of Health Plan benefits, care model, facility operations, product offerings, group benefits plans and contracts.
- Act as the primary point of contact for group customer contacts as related to contracts, benefits, rates or renewal activities.
- Engage in face-to-face customer meetings to help facilitate positive relationships and gain feedback necessary to collaborate and properly assess needs.
- Identify and act on enrollment opportunities including: presentations; benefit fairs; health fairs; and Q & A sessions.
- Engage customer and union contacts to ensure understanding and commitment to KP.
- Analyze open enrollment opportunities and propose options to maximize KP's visibility and opportunity.
- Initiate opportunities outside of open enrollment to engage with members and potential members to ensure understanding and commitment to KP.
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- Two (2) or more years of experience in healthcare, the insurance industry or managing business to business relationships.
- Experience in sales, account management or health plan administration preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, a related field OR equivalent work experience.
- Health/Life Insurance license or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
- Superior customer service skills with the ability to articulate and respond to complex issues.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability in negotiation, conflict resolution and persuasion.
- Proven ability to weigh outcomes and prioritize appropriately based on established criteria.
- High degree of personal autonomy, excellent judgment and the ability to work under general policies and guidelines in a crisis-oriented work environment with frequent interruptions, conflicting demands and significant ambiguity.

Salary Range:
$34,453 - $48,234

Target Sales Incentive:
$13,781
