The Cardiovascular Lab Manager is responsible for overall (24 hr) operations of the Cardiac Catheterization/Angiography Labs. This includes the clinical, educational, technical and operational aspects of these areas. Responsible for the coordination of services and communication between the Medical Director of the CV Lab, Medical Staff, Administration and staff to ensure effective operation in the delivery of high quality, safe, cost effective and customer focused care.

- Seeks appropriate clinical experts when scope of practice or clinical practice is outside professional area of expertise
- Evaluates and ensures adherence to the scope of practice for each skill level in the lab
- Analyzes and evaluates practice, research and trends
- Applies knowledge to the development of standards of care and practice to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Directs the development of competencies so staff achieve maximum performance
- Maintains personal and professional growth of self and others by participating in educational offerings and professional organizations
- Partners with medical staff and other disciplines to establish patient care goals for unit development
- Evaluates patient care delivery model and the needed staff, equipment and resources to provide safe, optimal care
- Directs and supervises staff and ensures safe, therapeutic environment
- Supports the development and implementation of an organization-wide patient safety program
- Ensures staff are educated on risk management and compliance issues and correct action is identified in areas of potential liability
- Quality Improvement:
- Articulates the organization's performance improvement program and goals
- Develops, implements, and maintains quality monitoring processes
- Formulates unit goals which are reflective of measurable objectives and evidence-based practice
- Maintains compliance on unit with all regulatory requirements
- Monitors unit quality assurance with safety, environment, pharmacy and documentation issues

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years of current clinical experience in a cath lab as a Cath Lab Cardiovascular Technologist, Radiology Technologist or Registered Nurse
- Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience in health care
- Three (3) years of leadership experience in health care, preferred
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, allied health, health administration, business or related field
- Master's degree in allied health, health administration, business or related field, preferred
- Current Oregon RN license or current RT registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire
- RCIS or CCRN certification, preferred
- Ability to apply financial/economic principles
- Knowledge of Federal and State Regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated cath/angiography lab knowledge and expertise, preferred
- Knowledge of The Joint Commission, labor law, related and affiliate union contracts, worker's comp, KSMC policies and procedures, KPNW HR policies and procedures, OSHA, CMS, Health Department, employee benefits, National Labor Relations Board, standards of practice of professional organizations and related scopes of practice, preferred
Salary Range: $42.16 - $75.72
