Develops & executes large scale & multi-functional work plans for the new product implementations, product extensions, & other key initiatives in the Product Marketing department. Leads cross-functional project implementation teams, defines & manages resource requirements, & transfers project management expertise to team members.
Essential Functions:
- Builds projects' implementation structure in accordance w/ overarching regional goals & objectives. This includes procuring executive level sponsorship, identifying project team leadership, securing project resources, setting overall meeting schedules & timelines, & managing the detailed project planning process.
- Leads & manages multiple sub-projects & the associated multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Provides consulting support to & acts as a 'thought partner' w/ department product & business line managers.
- Coordinates project requirements w/ other initiatives throughout the region to ensure the economical use of personnel, time, & other resources.
- Conceptualizes, develops, & communicates project plans, methodologies & approaches. Develops project success metrics, continuously monitors progress, & takes corrective actions that ensure successful achievement of project goals. Reports out regularly to steering committee & Senior Management on project status.
- Recognizes & works effectively in complex, political, & ambiguous situations. Uses organization & personal influence strategies to encourage desired behavior among those involved to reach goals of the project.
- Maintains cohesion, focus, & productivity among diverse project team members. Helps team members think outside of the box.
- Develops effective communication strategies. Keeps supervisor, project owners, & sponsors informed of progress, challenges, & barriers.
- Performs other duties as directed

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of progressive experience in a project management or similar capacity required.
- Bachelor's degree required. - Proven track record of developing & implementing new products & managing major projects on time & w/in budget required.
- Outstanding communication & interpersonal skills required.
- Demonstrated leadership skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of health plan operations preferred. - Master's degree preferred.
