Job description

A Teradata BTEQ Application Developer will have responsibility for some of the following:

Designs, develops and supports application solutions with focus on Teradata business and analytic solutions. Creation and modification of data structures as per change request raised.
Creation of Teradata SQL macros â?? store and execute sequences of Teradata SQL statements as a single operation.
Responsible to access and manipulate data â?? insert, delete, and update data;
Responsible for formatting reports for both print and screen output.
Perform data movement when requested.
Creation of ad-hoc queries, report generation on need basis
Creation of complex SQL functions for doing complex analytical querying and data mining, such as:
RANK, QUANTILE, CSUM, MAVG, MSUM , MDIFF, MLINREG, ROLLUP, CUBE , GROUPING SETS and GROUPING.
Define databases and users, establish access rights, and secure data

Strong Programming experience in writing complex Teradata SQL and Teradata stored procedures.
In-depth hands on experience in database, ETL/ELT design and development and should have excellent data analysis skills
Ability to independently Write, test and implement Teradata Bteq scripts, DML and DDL and Fast load, Multiload
Ability to translate both business requirements and technical details.
Extensive experience with performance tuning of queries

Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 3 years experience in Teradata Developer with UNIX and SQL
• At least 2 years experience in Data analysis, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing
• At least 3 years experience in Database ETL/ELT design and development
• At least 3 years experience in the Client Server environment
• At least 3 years experience in SQL Scripting
• English: Basic knowledge

Preferred

• At least 5 years experience in Teradata Developer with UNIX and SQL
• At least 5 years experience in Data analysis, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing
• At least 5 years experience in Database ETL/ELT design and development
• At least 5 years experience in the Client Server environment
• At least 5 years experience in SQL Scripting
• English : Intermediate
