IBM Global Business Services (GBS) is expanding its Center of Competence (CoC) in its Chemicals & Petroleum (C&P) Practice. The primary objective of this group is to provide consulting services and drive/support sales for C&P consulting engagements in markets throughout the world. The main focus will be on IBM's Smarter Planet solutions, but will also include Business Analytics Optimization (BAO), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) and SAP.
The C&P CoC requires the best and the brightest Petroleum Subject Matter Experts in Upstream Production and Operations. We are hiring Chemical Petroleum, Liquid Natural Gas, Process Industry Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). This would also include those with knowledge in SCM, EAM, HSSE, SAP and other relative expertise.
Center of Competence General Skills:
· Strong executive presence and experience selling â??consultingâ?? engagements to CXO level clients.
· High level of confidence and ability to match knowledge with client Subject Matter Experts.
· Ability to accommodate extensive global travel 60% -70%.
· Superior leadership skills; proven background creating and selling solutions addressing the pain points of the Oil and Gas and Chemical industries and have achieved significant quantitative and qualitative results.
· Excellent organizational skills and strong global management /awareness; able to articulate a vision and communicate it throughout the organization assuring buy-ins from all appropriate groups; proven change agent.
· Familiarity with the entire hydrocarbon value chain from upstream, mid-stream and downstream. Understand the major systems and processes in each portion of the business and the systems that support those processes.
· Well organized planner and doer; results oriented; able to achieve maximum results by being appropriately opportunistic.
· Strong analytical skills and business judgment; excellent negotiating skills and innate desire to win in the marketplace.
· Excellent written and verbal English skills.
· Must be prepared to work in growth markets - China, India, Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Central Eastern Europe Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA), and Latin America as well as major markets.
· Have experience in delivering complex strategic and technology implementation projects that address multi-faceted issues, working across organizational boundaries, interfacing with Senior Executives, client SMEs and working effectively in teams.
· Demonstrate a strong track record of solving complex business issues and delivering (internal or external) client satisfaction.
· Posses an understanding of business analytics.
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 2 years experience in Energy/Petro supply and trading processes within position and risk management, deals and contracts, credit management, or logistics â all methods of transportation, inventory control,etc
- At least 2 years experience in consulting sales/solutioning to Energy/Petroleum companies or a background with major and/or mid-major oil companies or oil field services suppliers such as Schlumberger or Halliburton
- Basic knowledge in MES: Invensys, Foxboro, Honeywell, Refinery and Petrochemical Modeling System (RPMS), Optivision, OSISoft, Belsim â Vali, Matrikon, Aspen, PIMS, HYSYS, Orion Info Plus, etc.
- Basic knowledge in SAP: IS-Oil, APO, JVA, OGSD, HSE, etc
- Basic knowledge in prevalent software and technologies and their use in the Chemical and Petroleum industries
- Basic knowledge in relevant Industry Standards prevalent in the Chemical and Petroleum industries. These include, but are not limited to: ISA-88, ISA-95, ISO-15926, etc
- Basic knowledge in the Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) business and its value chain from production through shipping to receiving terminals
- Basic knowledge in Document / Knowledge Management including Documentum, Enterprise Asset Management, Business Analytics Optimization, or TietoEnator-Energy Components
- Basic knowledge in Environmental Health and Safety Solutions: such as IHS / ESS - Essential Suite and Compliance Suite
- Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
- English: Fluent
Preferred
