Job description

The MicroStrategy Designer/ Developer will work with IBM's Application Innovation Services clients to develop innovative solutions to address core business issues in complex and integrated business environments. As a project team member you will perform project tasks and produce project deliverables. Have good communication skills and a proven track record of delivering reporting solutions using MicroStrategy on various Database Platforms. Interact with multiple team and stakeholders to translate business requirements into Report design. And continue through the development life cycle with build, test and implement using the technologies. Interface and collaborate with team members in different geographies and various time zones. Needs to work under tight time lines and have the ability to manage challenging situations.

The Data Integration Designer/ Developer role requires the candidate to perform the following specific tasks:
· Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents and implement Reports and Dashboards
· Performs testing to assure the delivery of a solution that meets business specifications.
· Translates business requirements into Report Design Specs
· Provides guidance and support to less experienced team members for design, development, testing and implementation
· Collaborates with the Offshore teams to deliver the designed solutions within the allotted time frame
· Able to perform as a Team Leader when necessary.
· Raises any technology issues encountered with leadership and keeps them informed of the progress, risks and issue
· Possesses technical background in required applications and tools.
· Position requires local work in Phoenix, Arizona (No Travel Allowed).

Bachelorâ??s Degree in Computer Science or related field

Required

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 2 years experience in system analysis, design, development and testing of Data Warehousing Solutions (including reports and dashboards)
• At least 2 years experience in experience with report development experience using MicroStrategy
• At least 2 years experience in experience with various database technologies like Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server, and Teradata
• At least 2 years experience in experience SQL and Unix
• At least 1 year experience in Sound understanding of data modeling concepts include Star Schemas and Snowflakes
• Readiness to travel Up to 1 day a week
• English: Basic knowledge

Preferred

• Engineering
