The IBM Interactive Visual Designer is responsible for project-specific visual/information design and development. This person:
represents IBMi in the initial engagement with the client
is involved with the project throughout the design and development cycle
works with the design team to create style treatments and implementation of vision and creative approach
works with the technical/solution architect to ensure technically practical application
will often remain in the project development through transfer of graphics/media to programming or transition the project after completion of the high level solution design
assists to develop the final creative approach for visual design
works closely with the client, local and/or virtual teams to ensure standards of excellence
participates in projects to vision and design graphic treatments, often while in client meetings
responsible for development of final digital assets

The focus of the Visual Designer is to:
design the creative concept
understand and assure client's brand characteristics and attributes
create branded high-level design studies and storyboards
oversee visual, graphical and animation development
deliver final production-ready assets
work in tandem with front-end developers to ensure accurate delivery of visual designs

Clients are typically aligned with Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods, Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical, Financial Services (Banking/Insurance), Electronics, Telecommunications, Distribution and Media & Entertainment Industries.

Required
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 6 months experience in designing, developing and delivering interactive applications for clients
  • Basic knowledge in working with Adobe Creative Suite 5
  • Basic knowledge in interactive prototyping
  • English: Basic knowledge


Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 1 year experience in designing, developing and delivering interactive applications for clients
  • At least 1 year experience in working with Adobe Creative Suite 5
  • At least 1 year experience in interactive prototyping
  • At least 2 years experience in working with teams of technical, information architecture and rich internet architects
  • Basic knowledge in Portfolio of previous projects and work products produced
  • English : Intermediate
