Job description

The qualified candidate for the Middleware infrastructure Architect will have broad experience in middleware product implementation and solutioning for sizing & designing compute solutions that will host web tools, wikis, web servers, databases, etc. The Infrastructure Architect evaluates and recommends a broad range of technology architecture related to Middleware components and management. This role involves multiple disciplines including development of solutions driven by customer requirements, identifying components, building architectural artifacts for proposal development, writing proposals, working w/other infrastructure teams to build working solutions. It requires the candidate to be able to see the big picture architecturally and also be able to deep dive into specific technical issues/details.

It is also expected that new hires live within a reasonable commuting distance (generally 50 mi or less) of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; Cleveland, OH; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Hartford, CT; Houston, TX; Kansas City, MO; Los Angeles, CA; Miami, FL; Minneapolis, MN; New York City, NY and surrounding areas; Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; Tulsa, OK; and Washington, DC. Exceptions may be considered.

Required
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 5 years experience in Middleware products such as IBM WebSphere, Oracle Middleware products, Apache, Tomcat, Micrsoft.Net, etc.
  • At least 3 years experience in building complex end to end web based solutions based on any of the above products.
  • At least 3 years experience in planning/managing/coordinating complex technical projects.
  • At least 3 years experience in performance and capacity management for middleware applications.
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • English: Basic knowledge


Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5 years experience in working with multiple operating environments such as windows, Linux, AIX.
  • At least 4 years experience in application management lifecycle methodologies.
  • At least 1 year experience in SQL, System Engineering, and Unix/AIX//Windows.
  • At least 1 year experience in proposal writing.
  • Security clearance of MBI
  • English : Intermediate
