Job description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Department of Defense (DoD) have been partnering to meet the President's April 09, 2009 mandate that "Both Departments [VA and DoD] will work together to define and build a system that will ultimately contain administrative and medical information from the day an individual enters military service throughout their military career, and after they leave the military."

Position Description:
- Expected to recommend solutions, recognizing the importance of solution performance, availability, integrity, and ability to interface with existing application.
- Expected to perform critical evaluation and selection of hardware and software components, implement effective development methodologies, and toolsets, and be leaders within the solution team.

Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 2 years experience in developing web based tools and application
- At least 2 years experience in full software development lifecycle
- At least 1 year experience in knowledge and / or experience with some combination of the following technologies: Maven, Spring, CVS, Oracle WebLogic, HTML Servlets, Web Services, Java, J2EE, J2ME, and XML.
- At least 2 years experience in knowledge and / or experience with Oracle and/or SQL
- U.S. citizenship required
- English: Intermediate
Preferred
- At least 4 years experience in developing web based tools and application
- At least 4 years experience in full software development lifecycle
- At least 2 years experience in knowledge and / or experience with some combination of the following technologies: Maven, Spring, CVS, Oracle WebLogic, HTML Servlets, Web Services, Java, J2EE, J2ME, and XML.
- At least 4 years experience in knowledge and / or experience with Oracle and/or SQL
- Security clearance of National Agency Check (NAC) - Active
