Position Description: As part of the Ryder team, the Senior Administrative Coordinator will handle a variety of tasks to support the department/function.


Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Intermediate level skills with MS Windows such working with windows and its components, desktop, taskbar, start menu, minimize/maximize/close function, drag/drop, copy/paste, rename, delete, recycle bin, and my computer.
  • Intermediate level skills with MS Excel such as freezing/unfreezing panes, hiding/unhiding data, setting print titles & page breaks, linking workbooks, creating external links, re-directing links, customizing toolbars & menus, protecting a worksheet, filtering options, and chart formatting options.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • Minimum 1 year of accounting experience, A/P, A/R
  • Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure and independently
  • Intermediate level skills with MS Word such as including styles, mail merge, tabs, tables, columns and breaks, graphics, fields, headers and footers, working with margins, page orientation, and spelling/grammar.
  • Possess excellent organizational, communication, customer services, and administrative skills
  • Minimum 6 months of transportation industry experience preferred
  • Previous experience processing motor vehicle permits and licenses preferred
  • Basic understanding of trucking regulatory issues desired
  • Working knowledge of any accounting software such Walker is ideal
  • Responsibilities: Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Support multiple branches on obtaining new permits for the operation of commercial vehicles
  • Process the annual renewals of licenses and permits for approximately 3000 vehicles
  • Process citations payments (30-50 per month)
  • Perform monthly accounting balance on expenses using Walker and FIS / AS 400
  • Interact with internal and external customers to answer questions regarding the status of the licenses and permits of vehicles
  • Interact with governmental agencies in person or by mail to process required permits
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to office staff
